Traci McCloskey, PT, DPT, Cert. DN

Doctor of Physical Therapy/Owner

Traci L. McCloskey earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1992. In 1998, she relocated to Corpus Christi and later completed her Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 2003. Concurrently pursuing further academic achievements, Traci was enrolled in a doctorate program at the University of St. Augustine during her MBA studies. She successfully obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine on April 11, 2008.

Under Traci's leadership, New Stride Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation will commemorate its 20th year in business in March of 2024, reflecting her dedication and successful stewardship of the practice. Her professional focus lies in spinal mobilization and orthopedic rehabilitation, driven by a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Traci is an advocate for fitness, holding certifications as a Comprehensive Peak Pilates® Trainer and actively participating in the Pilates Method Alliance. She is also certified as a KAATSU® and Dry Needling Practitioner, reflecting her comprehensive approach to wellness and rehabilitation practices.

Traci finds fulfillment in her role as a fitness coach, particularly enjoying working with clients on the Pilates reformer to help them achieve their fitness objectives. Beyond her professional achievements, Traci shares a fulfilling personal life with her husband Eric McCloskey, who is not only her life partner but also her business partner.

Dr. Stephanie Allen, PT, DPT, has been an integral part of New Stride since May 2023. A licensed physical therapist with extensive clinical experience across various settings, Steph obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, in 2015. Renowned for her dedication to patient care, she is a passionate advocate for her patients, committed to achieving tangible results. Stephanie finds fulfillment in unraveling the biomechanical complexities inherent in treating each individual holistically. Grounded in her clinical philosophy, she empowers patients to take charge of their own recovery journey, fostering lasting improvements and self-sufficiency.

Brooke Thorpe, MSPT

Masters of Science Physical Therapist

Although born in Pennsylvania, Brooke was raised in Corpus Christi and graduated from W.B. Ray High School. Brooke received her Bachelors degree in Biology from Texas A&M in College Station. She went on to receive her Masters in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston in 1997. Brooke began her practice in hospital based rehabilitation, but found her calling when she began work in the outpatient setting in 2000. In 2001, Brooke earned the prestigious Herdman Certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Since then, she has enjoyed working with orthopedic and neurological patients and continues to have a particular interest in helping people with dizziness and balance disorders. Brooke is committed to the community and is active sustainer for the Junior League of Corpus Christi. She and her loving husband have two beautiful daughters.

Barbara B. Dill, PT

Physical Therapist

Barbara is originally from Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1993. She moved to Midland, Texas over 25 years ago. She has 30 years experience in outpatient orthopedics. She began working for New Stride Physical Therapy 2 years ago after relocating to Corpus Christi. She has personally lifted weights and been active in the fitness industry for 40 years. Her and her husband love island life & the beach.

Gary Fairchild, OTR

Occupational Therapist

Born and raised in Galveston, Texas; Gary Fairchild graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Realizing the tremendous learning opportunities, he began his practice at the inpatient rehabilitation center at UTMB. In 1997, he accepted a position at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, and moved to Corpus Christi. For the next seven years Gary treated patients with orthopedic and neurological trauma. In 2006, his unique experience prepared him to become the Director of Hand Therapy Services at a local rehabilitation clinic. For the next twelve years, Gary served the Corpus Christi community, treating patients with orthopedic and neurological hand injuries. He specializes in fabricating custom splints for patients with tendon repairs, ligamentous sprains, repetitive stress injuries, and cerebral vascular accidents. After twenty-nine years of practicing as an Occupational Therapist, he brings unparalleled experience as a private practice owner. Fairchild Occupational Therapy, LLC welcomes new and previous hand therapy patients. Gary is dedicated to providing excellent care and continuing to serve his community. Michael Doster, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant/Staples Lead Clinician

I am a Corpus Christi native, with a diverse background. After graduating high school from Tuloso-Midway in 2003, I went on to earn my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2009. Following this, I pursued my interest in physical therapy after experiencing shoulder surgery in 2013. This experience fueled my passion, and I subsequently graduated from Del-Mar College in 2019, becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

With four years of experience under my belt, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the field and have helped countless patients in their journey to recovery. My expertise in the field has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the human body's mechanics, enabling me to deliver tailored treatments for a range of physical injuries. With the help of our excellent team, I am able to assist in developing personalized rehabilitation plans and utilizing cutting-edge techniques to promote faster recovery.

Myranda brings eight years of invaluable experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Immersed in the therapy domain from a young age, she has dedicated over 15 years to volunteering, interning, and working across diverse PT settings such as home health, nursing homes, wound care, inpatient, outpatient, and school districts. Embracing the role of a PTA wholeheartedly, Myranda eagerly tackles every challenge it presents. Christy Sadler Gorman

Certified Method Pilates Instructor

Christy Sadler Gorman is a Certified Instructor of the Method Pilates and has been comprehensively trained through the Physical Mind Institute. Her certification process includes training in PilateSystem at Studio 107 in Tyler, Texas and with PilatesWorks in Austin, Texas. She began teaching Pilates at Stephen F. Austin State University in 2002 and has served as senior Pilates trainer with BodyBusiness Health Club in Austin. Christy has worked extensively with Peak Pilates Certified Trainer and Pilates Educator, Julie Williams.

Holding a BFA and MA in dance, Christy also brings an extensive background in dance education, performance, and choreography to her instruction. With 40 years of body movement experience, she has also served on the faculties at the University of Houston, Houston Ballet Academy, Austin’s Tapestry Dance Academy and St. Stephen’s Episcopal School.
