Michael Doster, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

I am a Corpus Christi native, with a diverse background. After graduating high school from Tuloso-Midway in 2003, I went on to earn my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in 2009. Following this, I pursued my interest in physical therapy after experiencing shoulder surgery in 2013. This experience fueled my passion, and I subsequently graduated from Del-Mar College in 2019, becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

With four years of experience under my belt, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the field and have helped countless patients in their journey to recovery. My expertise in the field has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the human body's mechanics, enabling me to deliver tailored treatments for a range of physical injuries. With the help of our excellent team, I am able to assist in developing personalized rehabilitation plans and utilizing cutting-edge techniques to promote faster recovery.

Charla Harrison, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Charla began her career later in life after being a stay at home mom for 10 years. This time allowed her to be with her children until they started school. She has worked in multiple therapy settings including Outpatient, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Home Health Care over the last 16 years. Diversity has allowed her to gain many skills that served her patients well over the years. Charla firmly believes, "If you are not learning something new you are not living." She has a special fondness for the geriatric population and believes her older patients have unlimited wisdom to share with younger generations. She has great empathy for patients and families affected by Alzheimer's and dementia. For many years Charla has been an advocate for her patients and their families.

Charla received her Associate in Applied Science at McClennan Community College in 2007 and began her first job in Outpatient private practice only a month later. She is finally back in the outpatient setting at New Stride Physical Therapy. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband Ray, their five children, and their two grandsons. If she is not with her family she enjoys her two dogs, crafting, or decorating her home for all holidays.
